Awesome Action MMORPGs

I get bored of playing generic point and click games sometimes. It seems like nowdays the only games that can really keep my attention are action MMORPGs. Games like GhostX and Dragonica Online where players constantly have to stay alert and click the right buttons to do well. Games where you constantly need to pay attention, as you control every action your character makes. Each attack requires the press of a button. I feel action MMORPGs do a better job of retaining attention. Even though Dragonica Online is inferior to other side scrolling MMORPGs, namely MapleStory in terms of content, the game wins on interface and gameplay.

If you’re looking for a new action MMORPG to play, I strongly recommend checking out both Dragonica Online and GhostX. Dragonica is by THQ Ice and GhostX is from GameKiss. Other fun action MMORPGs are Dungeons and Dragons Online from Turbine and Battle of the Immortals from Perfect World Entertainment. Dungeons and Dragons used to be a pay to play MMORPG, but Turbine re-released it as a free to play game. Battle of the Immortals is an action MMORPG that was inspired by Blizzard’s Diablo 2. Simple controls, amazing pet system and a lot of content. Sounds like a formula for win? Well it is. If you haven’t played Battle of the Immortals, you really should. The game rocks. You can use your Perfect World, Ether Saga Online or Jade Dynasty account to access the game, as all of these games are published by the same company.

An obscure action MMORPG that’s well worth checking out is Savage 2. It’s by S2 Games – the same guys who made Heroes of Newerth. The game is basically a strategy MMORPG with action MMORPG elements mixed in. It’s an incredible game and also a hidden gem in the free to play MMORPG space. It has so few players, but deserves so much more.

If anyone else knows of any awesome action MMORPGs, let me know! I’m always looking for new action MMORPGs to try.
