Why Don’t Anime MMORPGs have Raiding?

I just realized something! Anime MMORPGs don’t have instances or raiding! Games like Fly For Fun, Luna Online and Bright Shadow don’t have have ‘raids’. Well not all anime MMORPGs, but some 70%+ of all anime inspired games don’t have instances or raids. You can throw ‘cute MMORPGs‘ into the mix as well. I’m really not sure why this is so. Fly for Fun and Bright Shadow aren’t cheap games. Thye’re very high quality titles with a boat load of content. Why don’t they support raiding? Instancing and raiding are a lot of fun. Plus, World of Warcraft proved that players love instances.

I don’t think anyone can argue that anime MMORPPGs don’t have raiding because they’re free to play, as there are countless free to play MMOs that DO have raiding and large instances. The first thought that popped into my head though when I thought about this, was that it would be REALLY awkward to imagine raiding in an anime MMORPG. I guess it’s because brightly themed games like Ether Saga Online and Emil Chronicle Online just seem too cheerful to raid. Having a bunch of cute characters working together to kill a big demon thing just seems weird. This argument doesn’t make much sense either though, as practically every anime themed game has combat and dungeons, just no raiding.

By the way, I consider ‘raiding’ as grouping with 20+ people to take down a tough boss or dungeon. If anyone here can think of an anime MMORPG with raiding, leave the name in the comments below. I can’t think of any off the top of my head, but I’m sure at least one or two exist. There are like 20+ anime inspired MMORPGs, so some should have raiding.
